Scientific WorkPlace makes writing, sharing, and doing mathematics easier than you ever imagined. Combined with the german MuPAD computer algebra engine, Scientific WorkPlace provides an integrated working environment in which you can compose and edit complex documents, compute and solve symbolically and numerically, and plot directly on the screen, all without being forced to think in a programming language.
You don’t have to learn LaTeX, the industry standard for mathematics typesetting, in order to produce typeset documents. Many of the more than 150 document shells have been designed to meet the typesetting requirements of specific professional journals and institutions. When you typeset, LaTeX automatically generates footnotes, indexes, bibliographies, tables of contents, and cross-references.
Scientific WorkPlace offers many ways for you to share documents with colleagues. You can export your documents as portable , RTF with editable mathematics (Microsoft Word and MathType compatible), and HTML with mathematics exported as graphics or as MathML. Scientific WorkPlace also allows you to transform files to PDF, fully hyperlinked and with embedded graphics.
With Scientific WorkPlace and the integrated computer algebra engine, MuPAD, you can compute symbolically or numerically and plot 2D and 3D graphs without having to master a complex syntax. 2D and 3D plots can be animated with MuPAD’s VCAM and, with OpenGL 3D graphics, you can rotate, move, zoom in and out, and fly through 3D plots.
In addition, the ExamBuilder included in Scientific WorkPlace allows you to construct online or printed exams algorithmically and to generate, grade, and record quizzes on a server.
